The View (Superfine) on The Native Noise Acoustic Collection

Superfine started out as a four-piece band from Hout Bay, Cape Town. After releasing their EP, for the kid at the back, they downsized to a more efficient three piece outfit. Bassist and lead singer, Steve Mckellar is joined by his brother Andrew and drummer Richard Wouters. In 2003 the band opened for Tree63 on their Summer tour of South Africa. Following this Superfine solidified its fan base with regular gigging throughout the Western Cape. Just before heading to Los Angeles The View released their debut album, What you want. They had to change their name after discovering an LA band had already claimed the name Superfine. The first single off the album has received a fair bit of national radio airplay, including the No1 spot on UCT Radio’s Top30. The unplugged version of Something is a feel good addition to The Native Noise Acoustic Collection.
