So here I am in Brugge/Bruges (Belgium) now. It’s such a wonderful town. The hostel is great and I’m hanging out with a really good group of people. I’ve mainly been meeting Aussie’s and Kiwis.

Paris was good fun, I went on 2 bicycle tours around the city – I haven’t been on a bike for years! But it was a fun way to see the city. On the day I Wednesday I cycled from 11am-3pm Then climbed the Eiffel Tower before Cycling for another few hours. My bum is so raw from all the cycling I’ve been doing.

The Bus trip to Brugge was okay, I got chatting to a couple from NZ they in my room with two other Aussies. Today 7 of us hired bicycles and went riding out of Brugge, Apparently it was about 15kms! It was an awesome trip through the Belgian countryside, we went to see a castle and a 15th Century church. It was just good fun really. The hostel we in is brilliant, it’s called Snuffels. I have 12 people in my room, my aussie and kiwi friends and a bunch of Spaniards! Last night we had Happy hour(s) in the hostel’s pub. Lots of Belgian beer – good stuff. It was an awesome party, The Spanish guys were getting really rowdy and screaming all sorts of obscenities at a group of Dutch girls, they got us all drinking Carimucho (Red Wine and Coke) Itwas a good laugh.

There’s a festival happening in Brugge tonight, The Fun Lovin’ criminals and a bunch of people I don’t know are performing. But it’s E28, so we thinking of going to hang around outside and see if we can check the concert without paying to get in. First we’ll go to have mussels somewhere, apparently that is THE dish to have in Belgium. We were planning to have waffles on the cycle tour today, but couldn’t find an open cafe, by the time we got back we just wanted something solid to eat, so waffles are on tomorrow’s menu. I’ll also be going to a chocolate museum, they give you a tour and tasting, yum!

I’m off to Amsterdam at 13:00 tomorrow, it’s a fairly short bus trip. Most of the people I’m hanging around with are doing a similar route so we;ll probably be seeing a fair bit of each other.
