Foals put on two shows with Efterklang supporting at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday 28th March 2013.

This was the first time I’ve ever been inside the RAH and it is a beautiful venue. Foals started their set with Prelude – an instrumental track off ‘Holy Fire’. The song and dark, moody lighting made a great start to the show but was a challenge for photography. The standard three song rule was effectively cut to two tracks, so I had to move fast to get some good ones in.

I’ve had my new baby, The Canon 5D Mark III, since October last year but this is only the second gig I’ve shot with it (Lewis Watson photos coming soon). The camera performed excellently, as expected. Hopefully I’ll be using it for a lot more live music photography in the months to come.
